Photovoltaics + solar honeycomb façade on CLT

We produce 8,000 m2 of innovative façade elements for the company GAP solutions, which are used as large-format prefabricated elements for the renovation of residential buildings from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. In the project for the housing company Vonovia near Bochum, we are building windows, solar modules and the solar honeycomb façade on CLT panels. The result is a unique, curtain wall building envelope that is free of any heat loss. How does this work? The basic principle of the GAP solar façade was taken from beehives. Just as the honeycomb keeps its hive cool in summer and warm in winter, the same applies to the new building material of the solar honeycomb. The insulation system does not require any complicated technology. In the cold season, the sunlight penetrates deep into the honeycomb due to the low position of the sun. The solar honeycombs create a warm air cushion that envelops the building like an insulating layer. This effect reduces heat loss to almost zero and eliminates thermal bridges.

The new, knot-free CLT panels were used for the first time in this modern residential building. The new premium visible quality for CLT gives the modern, high-quality living space a calm and special appearance.

Specially selected wood is used and unwanted areas are removed by capping. After elaborate sorting, the parts are reassembled in matching colour and structure - guaranteed to be even and perfectly clean.

The advantages of cross laminated timber / CLT in the city are obvious:
- Fast assembly, up to 45% shorter construction time
- dry design
- up to 3% more lettable area
- Solid construction - screws also hold here
- Sustainability - cross laminated timber / CLT binds CO2 in the long term.

We do that CLT smarter:
We deliver and process the cross laminated timber for your solid wood project.
In doing so, we can guide you from the Timber construction planning about the Robot processing of the solid wood walls to the Delivery of the prefabricated parts to the construction site support.

In doing so, we even go one step furtherr: Already at the factory we can Install windows in the wall element. This has long been common practice in the prefabricated house industry - with CLT, this form of prefabrication is a novelty.

Lenzerheide is one of the best Mountain bike Destinations in Europe. The Swiss Bike Region extends around Lenzerheide to Arosa and Chur. In the beautiful nature with its sharp rocks, wild valleys and rushing streams, tranquillity is not the only thing on offer.

No less impressive is the Newly built landmark in Lenzerheide. The Logo of the Bike Kingdom "BK" was made seven-metre-high cross laminated timber letters built. A docked wooden spiral impresses bikers and those who want to become one with an overwhelming spatial impression.

Office installation
in factory hall with cross laminated timber / CLT

In this project, a 2-storey office was built into a newly constructed factory hall. The prefabricated wall and ceiling elements made of cross laminated timber | CLT were driven into the hall with our truck and assembled with a mobile crane within one day. This construction method offers ideal conditions for fast and smooth assembly.
