A Tiny House can also look like this

What do you think of a Tiny House with a gable roof, a large glass surface and a modern façade? The gable roof and the generous glass surfaces make the Tiny House look very spacious on the inside. It is important to think about the shading of the glass surfaces in advance.

What is a Tiny House | Modular House | Mobile Home?

Tiny House

A Tiny House is usually a small, transportable house, usually mounted on wheels. It is a self-contained housing unit often built from sustainable materials and usually has a limited floor space. Tiny Houses are often designed for a single person or a couple and offer the basic functions of a normal house, including a kitchen, a bathroom and a sleeping area.

Modular house

A modular house consists of prefabricated modules that are produced in a factory and then assembled on site. These modules can serve different functions, such as bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc. The modules can be combined and adapted as needed to create larger living spaces. Unlike Tiny Houses, modular houses usually do not have their own drive and are not mounted on wheels. However, they can be mobile or stationary depending on the design and foundation.

Mobile Home

A Mobile Home is a form of prefabricated housing specifically designed for transport and permanent installation on a property. These homes are often larger than Tiny Houses and modular homes and offer more space and comfort. Mobile Homes are usually mounted on a trailer and can either be moved on wheels or permanently installed on a property. They are often designed as low-cost housing solutions and offer various equipment options.

These are the 8 most important
Advantages of a Tiny House:

Tiny Houses offer several environmental benefits that can contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle:

Lower
Resources-
consumption

Tiny Houses are significantly smaller than conventional homes, resulting in lower consumption of building materials, energy and water. This reduces the ecological footprint when building and operating the house.

Energy-
efficiency

Due to their small size, Tiny Houses require less energy for heating, cooling and lighting. They can also be equipped with energy-efficient technologies such as solar panels, renewable heating systems and energy-efficient appliances to further reduce energy consumption.

Reduced
Waste

Building Tiny Houses generates less construction waste compared to larger houses. In addition, living in a small space often requires more conscious consumption, thereby reducing overall waste.

Better
Use
from surfaces

Tiny Houses promote a more efficient use of land as they can be placed on smaller plots. This can contribute to the avoidance of excessive land sealing and the preservation of natural areas.

Mobility
and transport

Some Tiny Houses are mounted on trailers and can be mobile. This allows residents to change their place of residence as needed, which can reduce the need for new building land. It can also reduce commuting, as Tiny House owners can settle near their workplace more often.

Closeness to nature

As Tiny Houses are often placed on smaller plots of land or in rural areas, this can allow residents to have a closer connection to nature. This can raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage a more sustainable lifestyle.

Water-
savings

Due to their smaller size, Tiny Houses require less water to operate, whether for daily use or for watering gardens.

Minimalism and
Consumption reduction

Living in a Tiny House often requires a reduction of possessions and promotes a minimalist lifestyle. This can help reduce overproduction and overconsumption, which has a positive impact on the environment.

It is important to note that the environmental benefits of Tiny Houses are highly dependent on factors such as location, construction, energy sources and individual behaviour. Nevertheless, Tiny Houses can be an interesting option for people looking for more environmentally friendly housing alternatives.
