thermal bridge free
Façade system
for CLT

A fair visitor from Tallinn commented: "Best innovation of the fair". We can only agree with that.

CLT façades must always be insulated. A construction free of thermal bridges is becoming increasingly important.

The CONRAD" façade system uses a fibreglass rod to Minimise contact points of the façade with the (CLT) wall. The Fibreglass rod was originally developed as a replacement for structural steel as reinforcement in concrete. The high-strength and highly heat-insulating material wears the Facade construction to only few points. This creates a Statically highly efficient and Thermally optimised construction.

CONRAD can be sent a Wooden facadebut also an aluminium substructure for ventilated facade systems be mounted. The intermediate space is filled with blow-in insulation. A fibre-reinforced fleece closes the gap and keeps the insulation material in the cavity. The name of the system CONRAD Incidentally, consists of CONnector with paddockRAD together.

The fibreglass rod from CONRAD is screwed into the CLT panel.

First, a hole is pre-drilled for this purpose. Using a tap, the hole is given the thread of the fibreglass rod. This can then be easily screwed into the hole. By turning the mounting plate, the construction can also be levelled out.

The Video shows the working steps for Assembly from CONRAD.
