Our modern fleet consists of four powerful tractor units, which are specially designed for transporting large-format timber elements. This is supplemented by 20 open trailers, which are ideal for the safe and flexible transport of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and other large-volume construction elements. We also have Four enclosed low-liner trailers, which are particularly suitable for sensitive or weather-sensitive components.

Thanks to our Permanent authorisations for the transport of oversized loads we can act efficiently and without delays:

    • We bring the first CLT elements to the construction site and in the process a trailer on site from.
    • This serves as a flexible store for the fitters, allowing them to move the material at their own pace.

    • After the first delivery, our lorry returns Solo - return without trailer.
    • This means unloading can take place at the construction site in peace and quiet and there are no additional delays due to unnecessary transfers.

  3. Resource-saving completion of the logistics chain

    • We take an empty trailer for the last delivery „piggyback“ again.
    • This saves an additional empty journey and ensures sustainable and economical transport handling.

When transporting CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber), we consider various aspects to ensure safe and efficient execution. The following important points are to be observed in particular:

  1. Permits: In Austria we have a permanent permit up to 3.50 m wide and 20.5 m long on all our vehicles.
    For Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands we have a permanent permit up to 3.0 m wide.

  2. Packaging: CLT elements should be properly packed to prevent damage during transport. The packaging should protect the elements from moisture, shocks and scratches.

  3. Stacking: When stacking the CLT elements, stable and secure stacks should be formed. The elements should be placed evenly and securely on top of each other to avoid slipping or falling down during transport.

  4. Fastening: The CLT elements must be properly secured during transport to minimise movement. Use appropriate straps to secure the elements and ensure that they remain firmly in place.

  5. Weight limits: Make sure that the transport vehicle has the required load capacity to carry the weight of the CLT elements. We check the weight limits and ensure that they are adhered to in order to avoid overloading.

  6. Transport route: We select a suitable transport route that corresponds to the dimensions of the CLT elements and the requirements of the transport. Road restrictions such as bridge heights, narrow curves or low subways must be taken into account to avoid possible obstacles.

  7. Weather conditions: CLT is sensitive to moisture. We make sure that the elements are protected from rain or snow to avoid damage. If necessary, we use covers or waterproof packaging to keep the elements dry during transport.

  8. Safety regulations: We will ensure that you comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations for the transport of timber products. This may include specific regulations for excess widths or lengths.
